Help a sister out :)
As many of you know, I have my own etsy shop full of simple, funky things for all the chic's out there. I am currently have a HUGE sale to clear out the "old" stuff and make room for the "new" that will come in the fall.
Also, my husband is coming home at the end of July too, so I am working really hard to save so I can take him and our family on a much needed vacation. He deserves it after all he has been through in Iraq lately. (plus I think I deserve it too)
So, I'm here to let you know and ask you to spread the word. I have shoes, bows, headbands, and ribbon hats. More stuff being added lately. Check them out and see if there is something for the little chic in your life or buy something for someone elses chic :)

Surprise!!!
I took Kaden to his first concert this past Saturday. The boy is a huge music guy--loves to sing and listen to the radio. Always has been. When he was 3 I wanted to take him to see Rascal Flatts (his favorite) but the timing was never right and I really wanted him to be a little older.
Well his time came and I wanted to surprise him. So, off we went with him not having a clue what we were doing.
This is the expression I got after teasing him a bit and then trying to hand him the tickets...
He was trying to be mad still and smile at the same time.
Once we had dinner and made it to the concert he was back to his happy self. Darius Rucker sang first and he asked me I bet 38 times when Rascal Flatts was gonna start singing.
It was fun...we had a great time and had wonderful seats for a 5 year old to see!!
This is us--all nice and sweaty because it was 97 degrees with a humidity of 135%!!

He gave me a lot of attitude when we left the house. He WAS NOT liking the surprise idea. He wanted to know (in case he wasn't really interested in going I guess).

I did it...I took "the plunge"
I have been debating for weeks and weeks on what to do with my hair. It's been growing out for a very long time and people always have told me that they like my hair long.
When I moved back to Texas in early May, I was immediantly ready to chop it off. It is humid here and I can't stand having that sticky hair feeling on my neck. I would look around and see all these short hair styles but just couldn't get the courage up to take "the plunge". I kept thinking of all the what ifs. What if I don't like it...my face looks even chubbier, everyone tells me it looked better long, etc. I just couldn't make myself pick up the phone and make an appointment even though I wanted to cut it so badly.
I have a fellow blogger friend who went through the same thing a month or so back. She finally took the plunge, cut her long hair off, and posted an inspiring post on her blog (about living with short hair) that really made me ready to go cut it off that same day. Go check out her post HERE...maybe you are in the same boat.
Anyways....here is a picture of my new hair do. I absolutely love it and am so glad I went for it. I only have a front view pic but the back to stacked and looks really good.
Let me know what you think!

Not me Monday
or Wednesday, really.
Wow, it has really been one of THOSE days. If I had no clue what today was but had to guess, I would totally go with Monday.
You know how Monday's are always crazy, hectic, everything falls apart kind of days. Well, that was my today (Wednesday).
It was me who started off the day pretty good. We got up, ate breakfast, and I started getting everyone ready to go to Tyler. I wanted to get the kids a 4th of July outfit and my mom needed a few things for the pool deck. So, off we go...
It wasn't me though who decided shopping with 3 kids would be easy. After all, I had my mom with me. Only to do more chasing, calming, bribing then I did shopping.
It wasn't me who then remembered after we were there (a good hour away) that I had promised my hubby that I would be on Skype to video chat with him today. It wasn't me who left my poor hubby waiting for almost an hour.
It wasn't me who was chasing my son down the street because his Grammy left and he wanted to go with her. Nope, that wasn't me or my son for that matter.
It wasn't me who left my phone (2nd one since I got here last month) in my daughter's reach. The phone that she decided to drop in the toilet. Yep, the toilet. It wasn't me who got upset with her when really it was my fault for leaving it down where she could get ahold of it.
It wasn't me who burst into tears and cried for the first 10 minutes while I was video chatting with my husband. My husband who therefore had thought I had lost my mind. {maybe I have}
It isn't me who is just ready to call it a day at 7 o'clock just so maybe I can wake up to a better day tomorrow.
Nope not me!
